The department focuses on the design, development, evaluation, and optimization of pharmaceutical dosage forms to ensure safety, efficacy, stability, and patient compliance.
\nThe department provides in-depth knowledge and practical exposure in pre-formulation studies, novel drug delivery systems (NDDS), biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, industrial pharmacy, pharmaceutical validation, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements. Students are trained through laboratory experimentation, research projects, seminars, journal clubs, and industrial interactions.
\nThe department encourages research activities in conventional and advanced formulations such as controlled release systems, nano-formulations, targeted drug delivery, and herbal formulations. It also promotes industry-oriented skills, entrepreneurship, and regulatory documentation practices to prepare graduates for pharmaceutical industries, research organizations, regulatory agencies, and academia.
