The department focuses on identification, authentication, phytochemical investigation, isolation of bioactive constituents, herbal drug standardization, quality control, and development of herbal formulations.<br \/>\nThe program integrates traditional knowledge of medicinal plants with modern analytical and biotechnological approaches such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and plant tissue culture.
